|Duplication and Replication Services|
Duplication is one method of copying your CD, DVD, or Blu-ray discs. It is suitable and cost-effective for products in small quantities and is manually carried out in 1-to-9 duplicators. Among the advantages of this technique is that it is faster than stamping for small quantities.
In this technique, which is also known as Pre- recorded CD, Stampered CD or silver CD, the master CD is used to create a mold which is later used at the plant to create pre-recorded compact disks. In this technique data is molded and placed on a stamper, an alloyed plate, which is later installed on CD and DVD assembly lines. When the production of optical disk is in progress, the data in question is transferred on to the CD and DVD in the form of very delicate threads. Then the optical disk is coated with a layer of a metal reflector such as silver. Still then comes the lacquering process during which a final layer is placed on the compact disk. And the final stage is printing.
It is worth noting that in this technique software and hardware locks could both be used.
